Leo on T-Mobile... Usable in the US?

So, I've only ever been on Sprint. And I see that the Leo (HD2) is goint to be on T-mobile in the Uk... Does that mean that I could get it and use it in the US via T-mobile?
May be a dumb question, but I don't know the answer...
Thanks.

According to this, the phone runs on the 900/2100MHz band. AT&T runs on 850/1900 while T-Mobile runs on 1700/2100. This means that AT&T is ruled out completely, but would it need to run on both T-Mobile frequencies to function at all?
