Help with zip files

For some reason when I download a zip or rar file that says it has a .cab file the only thing I find is a bunch of files with the windows logo on them, not a .cab file in there. Is there a problem with my settings. I am using the trial version of winzip and winrar, could this cause a problem? Thanks for any help in advance.

check the ext of the original file that you downloaded to make sure that it was not the .cab file i use winrar and the cab file and rar or zip file both use the same logo on the screen - you just have to pay close attention to the ext in the file name I know that if you unzip a cab file it usually has a lot of small files inside of it with misc ext (.013, .014, .015, etc)
if it's the cab file, just copy the entire file to your ppc and then click on the file through your File explorer on your ppc

Your tip paid off, for some reason my computer was giving .cab files the winzip icon. So, I assumed it was a zip file and kept unzipping it. Thanks to your post I will now look at the file more closely.
