Txt Msg question overseas

Is it possible to txt to someone overseas?

I.E. I am from Canada and want to txt someone in Australia

I guess a guy needs a country code eh?

Yes, it would be 011 61 4 xxxx xxxx to call or txt msg a mobile # in Australia. Of course, you'll need to have the ability to place international calls and/or SMS prior to initiating communications. You should be able to login to your Telus acct and add it if you don't already have international dialing on your plan.

+1 on Hibby's suggestion.

Don't forget that you will probably get charged international messaging charges per message incoming and outgoing. Check with your carrier for rates.

i have a question bout this also
ive had the 6700 and 6800 when ive gone 2 visit in guadalajara mex ....and i was never able to get txt msgs to work on either fone
now that i have the tp i was wondering if it finally works??
thats for ur input

As long as you have international roaming enabled on your line, you will be able to receive text messages as long as you can connect to the cellular network in whatever country you are located in.
