Cell Phone Reception

I have a couple of different PRL's that I can use but I was wondering if there is a way for me measure the cell phone reception of each one so I know which one I should use?

Thanks

Craig

Re: Cell Phone Reception

I think there is an app on the stock 6.1 rom called fieldtest that does this. Not sure if you have it cause I see your running juicy's rom. Look in the windows folder using file explorer.

Re: Cell Phone Reception

Thanks horndoctor, there is a file called FieldTrial and when I run it I get lots of data such as CH #, SID #, RX Power etc... which of these numbers do I need to take a look at and is a high or low number better?

Thanks

Craig

Pretty sure higher is better.

Re: Cell Phone Reception

Yes look at Rx power. The number will be negative. The higher the number the better. Remember they are negative so -60dBm is better than -65dBm.
