Transfering Plan Questions

OK so today I gave in and ordered a 6800 through "myrateplan" (same people I got my 6700 from) with a new plan, Intending to first, switch the mogul to my old plan, and then transfer the new plan (now with the 6700 on it) to a family member who wants to switch to sprint.

Does anyone know if when transferring an account, will sprint charge a deposit as if it were a new account, Or do they just swap it right over to the new user?

I ask because if they are going to want to charge a fee for the transfer (deposit) I would just be better paying the bill myself and letting the family member pay me in return to avoid the possible credit deposit (were looking at a $400er here so you can see my logic)

Regardless, Im stoked to be getting a mogul! :P ($349.99 and then I get that standard $100 rebate, and possibly even $100 more if E-care stands to their word)

yes

If you switch to a totally new customers account from an existing, yes they will have to run your credit to open that account, and if you happen to have a deposit, yes you will have to pay it. I work for Sprint/Nextel Indirectly, so I am happy to answer this for ya. :D

Thanks for the input on the subject, In this case I may just act as a middle man and avoid the fee...

Being that my family member is already getting a 6700 for free, I don't think I need to pay $400 to get their account out of my name when If they don't pay a months bill I could just pay $200 to cut them off :P

The logistics of this are a little whacked... But hey Im getting a mogul out of it... Soooooo

So yeah just a little side note for anyone planning to do an ESN swap between two accounts with PPC's...

Make sure the person doing the swap knows that ##MSL# Does not work... XD

But ##778# does... I actually helped the guy more then sprint's internal techs did!
