Step by step instruction manual when using roms

I dont mean to be steping on anyones toes and I appologize if this is offensive to anyone, but Ive been curious since I bought this phone why there are no instructions on how to build roms. Obviously theres reading involved with these forums, but still I think an instruction manual would be nice. I guess im so used to the stickys on how to flash, how to unlock it just seems to make sense to me...maybe im alone in this :dontknow:

well, building roms is a completely unique process, so step-by-step would be kinda pointless. the best way to start learning is ppckitchen.org.
but there are many tutorials on the various elements

ps. I like the sig.

When building roms,
You can potentially screw up your device alot easier than just flashing.
That's why there really isn't a noob friendly walkthrough on
how to build a rom.

The info is there, you just have to search
and it's highly recommended do alot of reading.

thanks shaggy, i guess im more frustrated that I have been manually trying to figure it ou...like typing 1 trying to figure out what that does, getting an error and then going to 2 and repeating process lol. its annoying :P

I see, I did honestly find a build that was right up my alley and that was Hypercore but I kept getting errors, I heard people werent ever able to get in touch with the owner so they stopped using it. I think the only other issue that I had was looking for the instructions...which it actually had in the buld itself but they were in every other subfolder so it took alot of time.

Currently im trying to figure out where to even begin with Caulkins build.

btw, I better mention that the days of dozens of roms are numbered. soon we can leave all the madness behind and finally use that dusty old update icon. :)

because I was recently reminded of this;

I would go to the ppckitchen.org
it's a very friendly rom kitchen.

I actually have that installed on my laptop lol. along with Hypercore JustClean and Caulkins rofl. Hey they were free I couldnt help myself lol.
However ppckitchen doesnt work with cdma that i have tried. It keeps giving me the GSm version but some of the folders are cdma...how utterly ironic.
