Microsoft My Phone PRIVACY statement

Im here to let you guys know about the privacy statement in My Phone microsoft program

first off thier allowed to view your information about your device
like for example IP adress, operating system version, language settings, IMEI, model and software version, and a unique ID associated with your installation.

thier allowed to share information with the law if they fill that the information they collect from your phone will jeperdize employees and thier company. But on the other hand they will also allow info to be shared if asked by the law inforcement.

ok if mods are cookin why would you guys put this in the kitchen this isnt good. Now if people use this and dont read the statement (like usual) wouldnt this cause problems exspecially when thier already pissed off about the WM7 OS being leaked(aka WM6.5)?

im pretty sure they got like a filter program that views all the OS that have been messed with then all the information on that person is collected. However whos to say that you were the one who altered your phone but also your the one in possesion of the phone.\\is anybody using this software?

I'm not sure what you're attempting to draw?

The clause stating they will turn over information to law enforcement is standard fare in any online privacy policy and required by law in some jurisdictions. They would require the law enforcement agency to show a court order to obtain that information.

I'm sure Microsoft really doesn't care too much about how many people are cooking roms and running them. It can be argued that cooking ROMs is to some degree piracy, but that's not a direct argument either. Since Windows Mobile isn't purchased at retail, but is only sold in devices. Microsoft also doesn't support Windows Mobile directly they let the OEM and Carrier shoulder that burden.

Those make me think Microsoft could really care less if we run cooked ROMs on our phones. They have little to loose.

HTC (et. al.) and Carriers are another story. I'm sure they'd want us to stop using any cooked ROMs at all.
