4g going to happen

looking to upgrade my 6800 (titan) but don't am courious about the 4g network verizon claims to be putting in 2010. Looking at the omnia and the touch pro on the verizon network. I liked the omnia screen but it lacks the keyboard of the touch pro.

anybody have any inside info on the 4G network or any phones with this tech. Probably a bit early to find out about phones. But I did see a cool one by HTC that is sold is Russia. WIMAX supported phone supplied 10megs, that would be pretty nice if the phone had enough memory to handle it.

I will be looking through the omnia and touch pro forums for pros and cons of each but can't search for 4G since it has to be atleast 3 character but if anybody want to add their experiance I would appriciate it.

I don't have any input on Verizon info, but would like to let you know that you can search using less than 3 characters by using * as a wildcard, or you can use the google search bar under the search tab. Just thought that might save you some frustration down the road.

Not sure about Sprint, but here in Canada the 2 CDMA carriers are teaming up to go 4G. Telus and Bell. Like sprint they say 2010.

Heres a quote I found about Bell and Telus...

"The two providers both anticipate having commercial 4G service ready by early 2010. Bell has a more specific window and claims it should have its LTE running by the start of the Olympic Winter Games near the start of that year. Verizon in the US is planning its shift in a similar timeframe and will be joined by AT&T afterwards."

4G is being tested in Portland, Or right now. They only have PC's with the WiMax or the USB adapters to access it. Her is a link to it. http://www.clear.com/what_is_clear.php Also, I have seen on some tech sites that they are developing 4G capable phones.
