Thumbs up Re: Referbs good or bad

I just submit an online self service for an Apache for my wife. Yesterday we received a refurbished TP. The refurbish is good. I'm ok with that can't complaint for that upgrade and at the cost of 0.00 sounds good to me.

Re: Referbs good or bad

I know of one big problem with refurbs... They have many phones come in with complaints of power cycling, shutting off, etc. Many times they can not duplicate the issue, because it may be related to using on-line features like web browsing, or text messaging. The service centers do not test the phones for online services that require activation / live SIMs....They would have to activate every phone (CDMA), or have many live SIMs (GSM) for the testers and technicians. They do a very thorough functional and RF tests though, and replace all bad cosmetics. I would be wary of recieving a refurbished phone. Just make sure you check the online features before its warranty is up. I say generally, refurbs are good, especially if you can get a refurb at a discounted price. Buyer beware!
