Blocked by Exchange Serve

Is it possible to block just certain (WinMo) devices from an exchange server?, over the last two days i have been receiving an "Error Synchronizing" error every time my touch Pro tries to sync my email, but my colleague who has a blackberry still has exchange server access. So could that mean that WinMo devices are blocked? I thought that blocking from the exchange server meant all mobile devices?

Re: Blocked by Exchange Serve

Have you try to downlaod any exe files, My sister ex server will delete them , but some may block phone if content is suspect. Have you double checked your phone settings or changed something lately?

On Exchange 2007 is possible to delete device from sync... And delete contacts and calendar and tasks data remotely on device...
But i think, your problem is any other - maybe bad or expired certificate? Or other problem on phone, i had many times problem with Active sync and Exchange via GPRS/EDGE... The solution was to delete partnership with exchange and new setting...

Re: Blocked by Exchange Serve

If it is not on the exchange end, which most likley it is not since you have previously sync your phone, try the following link below. I did a lot of research on this and in my case it was a certificate issue. WM 6.1 would not download the certificate correctly via GPRS.

Re: Blocked by Exchange Serve

Can you check your mobile device settings inside the OWA panel? See if it's still there?

Maybe they have started enforcing certificates on the server, and you need to load them.

If you need certificates, there is a way to download them from the server, but check first to see if your device is still listed.

Also, blackberry accesses the exchange server through a different protocol I believe, so it could work without problems, and the other side be down.

Re: Blocked by Exchange Serve

Could be a few things, I would start by checking your account, your account could be denied mobile sync access (just a small check box in your account settings on the server 2003/2007). This could be possable it got checked or unchecked by mistake.

If your Exchange server has a valid certicate, it should sync but, in some cases, I had to export the certificate and install it as a trusted domain to the PPC....(this tends to be needed on custom or beta roms, never had an issue with the factory installed rom)
