Looks like Rev.B is just channel bonding. I wonder if current Rev.A infrastructures deployed by US carriers can just upgrade the software on their Rev.A hardware to support channel bonding. It would seem that this would be something the carriers would look for when purchasing baseband products that supported Rev. A.
Handsets, on the other hand, would not just be software upgradeable, as it requires a more robust radio. I could be wrong. |
