Unhappy Complete active sync uninstall?

I can't for the life of me figure this out, I've tried it a couple times both times it didn't completely get rid of it. First I just tried to install by the uninstall option, but I had data return from old devices and previous sync's before a hard resets. The seconds time I deleted directories too.... Last time I hooked the phone up to one of my computers, it wanted to sync 700+ contacts, which is my contacts 3 times over, so I get a ton of duplicates. (I figured out how to not put the 700 in phone again)

I just want everything gone, and start over fresh.

And how do I do this correctly so if and when I hard reset again will I not run into these issues?

Active sync 4.5 on XP professional, Touch Pro (cdma if it mattered..)

Re: Complete active sync uninstall?

You're talking about uninstalling AS from your PC, then doing a fresh install, correct? You might want to check the registry to make sure all entries related to AS are deleted. Look under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync. As a side note, please add your device and carrier to your profile under your username. Makes it easier for others to direct you to the right resources when you have a question.
