Google Maps starting in GPS mode???
 

Is there anyway to hack or something Google Maps so that it starts in GPS mode. I only turn it on if I want GPS as well and I get tired of always having to go into menu manually to turn on the gps. thanks

Why go into the menu? Why not just add a plugin to the Today screen like BAF GPS Toggle

That was it! I can't believe I never did this. If you choose GPS in the menu and then exit also from the menu NOT by hitting the "X" to close then it will save your settings and gps auto come on next time you start. Thanks Genjinaro for letting us know how is works for you. keep it simple stupid, and yet I still missed it.

I think this was just fixed in the newest version. I always exit Google Maps with "Use GPS" checked, but only noticed that it stuck with the new Latitude version.

That is a new change with the new Latitude version. Mine works whether I "x" out our use the menue to exit.

The newest one always starts in GPS mode.
