WOW, i think i blew out my gps reciever!
Before i was charging it through the 12v cable via my siedio car kit..
but i have a lighter/charger cable that will connect direct to it.. So i connected it up, and my gps reciever started flashing yellow real fast.. i just thought it was charging.. i started smelling that burned electronic smell and it just wont come on now.. even when disconnected.. Aint that some tihs? So now i need a new bluetooth gps reciever, any recommends?? more than likely i'll go the bestbuy route(yea yea i know i know), so anything from there is welcome for recommending. I really dont wanna spend no more than $50 on one.. EDIT: well i just came back from retesting via the 12v cable via seidio car kit and its flashing yellow orange just as fast. but when i disconnect it and turn it on.. nothing. could be a bad battery, bad cell battery(if one is in it?) |
Which receiver do you have? I had the battery go out on my BT338. However, it still would work when connected to a a charger.

its the seidio royaltek rbt2010
mine doesnt come on when connected to the charger or cable and battery out. |
I killed a drill battery charger that way by inserting the battery the wrong way, that burnt electronic smell is the flat line of electronic equipment.....hmmmm loving them old topics tonight it seems.

maybe some advice so i can avoid that. I have a 5V usb car charger that came with my bt device. Can I use it to charge my 6700 in the car?
