Question about WM6 license

I have a Verizon XV6700 that originally had WM5 on it. I have played around in the kitchen and flashed it to WM6. Is it necessary to purchase a license for WM6? If so, how do I go about doing it? Do I need to purchase a license for any of the other apps that are available in the kitchen? Thanks.

Wait, you're kidding, right? Trust me when I say that you should not go dialing up Microsoft asking how to register your new WM6 copy. Just enjoy it and thank the good people who put together the kitchen.

I wasn't planning on calling Microsoft, but I would like to know if it is legal to upgrade to WM6.

It is legal... Microsoft has made upgrade to WM6 from WM5 free...
