HTC Touch 5500 questions
 

Hello all,

First and foremost, I'd like to say that I'm completely new to the HTC Touch phones. I've never thought of switching over to a Pocket PC. But now I've decided to switch over. I saw a nice looking phone (instantly looked up modification options as well) and I've stumbled across a HTC Touch 5500. I then saw a video of a HTC Touch that was modified with all kinds of applications. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3glE9YmVps4) I was hoping to get the same.

Thing is, it says it's for a HTC Touch Vogue. The phone I had in mind is a HTC Touch 5500 - I got no clue what it'd be classified as. A Diamond, Vogue, etc etc?

If anyone could point me in the right direction, It'd be very much appreciated.

Well IIRC the 5500 is a slider version of the Touch. It's probably running WM6 or 6.1. You should be able to install most things that you find here at PPCGeeks. I would start with the Software Fourm and the Touch/Vogue Forum.

So, in essence, I can install the custom ROMs that are in the Vogue forum?

Also, I guess it's best to ask here as well; I see all those ROMs for carriers like Alltel, Verizon, etc. I live in the Netherlands, and we don't have those carriers here. How would I go around installing a custom ROM? Like NFSFAN's for example. Anything special I need to do?
