Bluetooth passkey (PIN)
ok so I just bought a bluetooth adapter from best buy for my laptop, now it finds my phone fine but when I click connect a window pops up saying "Bluetooth Passkey (PIN):" and I dont know what to enter???
if I enter random numbers (like 0000) my phone asks if if it wants to add my computer to the device list and I click yes and then it pops up with "passcode" then I enter the same thing and it says access denied on the computer end this is driving me crazy! |
Re: Bluetooth passkey (PIN)

No he said he entered random numbers LIKE 0000. I had to say it, four 0's is what all mine are. Thanks for the correction.

Re: Bluetooth passkey (PIN)
from what i read, you should be able to use just a random number for the first time. IF all else fails take it to Best Buy and have them install for you, could be a return or a defective piece of equipment.

Re: Bluetooth passkey (PIN)
ok so I cant set up a partnership really but if my bluetooth is on on my phone I can right click files and send them to it that way, not exactly the method I was hoping for but it works, I just dont understand why I need a passcode on both ends, seems odd to me
