PPC-6700 - GPS on google maps?

Can I use the gps functionality found on Google Maps? I've tried and it doesn't seem to work. Is this just not possible? Thanks.

nope, it just won't work, because the 6700/wx don't have built-in gps.

It does work, but only if you have an external bluetooth GPS device. I myself have been using a GPS device with my 6700 and Google Maps on a road trip that is in progress. So far, it has worked fairly well, even in 1X territory. I am liking it quite a bit and have used it for well over 1400 miles thus far.

Which GPS receiver are you using out of curiosity? I am looking to do this myself.

Works fine with my old ipaq BT GPS... as does Windows Live Search (frankly, WLS is better for GPS use)

Just got back from driving a good 2,800 miles or so.

I an using one that I got off of e-bay... kinda of a generic one, but it worked well (not sure where it is now, but I will check later if I remember). Sleep time though!
