Re: caller hears a beep when you are in a call

That's great, I *still want this*, and am trying to figure out what provider(s) still have this at least as an option.

Any Help?

I hate this feature, i for one would b much happier if vzw really did remove it. I'm sooo hope they got rid of it... infact i'm soo curious that i'm about to check it out (keeping fingers crossed)....
I've had verizon for over 6yrs and since day one i hated it lol.

Re: caller hears a beep when you are in a call

As the OP of this thread, I appreciate that some people don't like this feature.

I do like this feature, enough to switch providers if one truly still supports it.

I am able to early terminate my VZ account over this w/out penalty.

My mother, my friends, my wife, all know if they here that beep NOT to call right back 5x because it means I am on a call, and they know that I *know* they called. Of couse if they feel it is an emergency they will anyway.

When I am on a business call I do not want to take another call (typicaly) and this reduces the number of times people call back while I am trying to conduct a business call.

Sorry if some of you don't want anyone to know you are on the phone. Perhaps you should just be honest with your significant other about who you are calling, and why so that people who want to use their phone for business can.

I hope everyone can at least understand my desire to find a way to have this feature again.

Re: caller hears a beep when you are in a call

Success, buddy, pal, did you not get that I'm on verizon, and they have eliminated it in all but two areas, and they are getting rid of those two areas soon.

The thing that concerns me is, doesn't Alltel piggyback on vzw, so wouldn't it go away on Alltel too?

I don't like the idea of it being enabled on my phone, but I like when it's on my friends' phones and they don't know about the feature... makes for some fun conversations.

Re: caller hears a beep when you are in a call

Why can't it just be an option? I would even pay a amall amount to have it, although it appears more people would pay to have it off.
