Deleted contacts, and call history help

I accidentally deleted all my contacts, which is no big deal because i had them backed up and what not, but now all my call logs show numbers instead of names, is there anyway to fix this?

It might fix it if you resynced and soft reset but I believe that it will only apply to new calls.

Correct. Your phone doesnt have the names that correspond with those numbers so it just displays the number.

re entering the contacts and softreseting might allow them to link back to ur past call log, but Guitardock is right , its prolly only gonna get your new calls.

sometimes after the softreset if u click on the displayed number (to where it opens the call) when u exit and come back it catches the name.

hrm thats not what i wanted to hear. I did resync and soft reseted with now luck. i guess its not really that big of deal.

Just for testing i resaved my gf's number from the call log over her contact and it updated her name to all the call logs but all the rest are still numbers. It took about 25 seconds to save. so i wont be doing that for all my contacts.
