Re: Verizon's New Data Plan

Wow, go verizon. One of the reasons i left verizon was their crazy data plans. But now i might have to think about going back after my contract, its about time they caught up with other companies...

Re: Verizon's New Data Plan

they still have a ways to go. you can get the same package on sprint for half the price, and the similar priced sprint plan gets you unlimited messaging, gps and tv/radio. with vzw the gps and messaging is another $10 and $20 respectively, and vcast isnt available on their advanced devices.

New VZW Data plan?

Is this for us? $30 is much better than $45! Still hurts that unlimited sprint for everything is $99 and VZW is voice$99 + data$45

Re: New VZW Data plan?

Oh I love that unlimted everything.
I txt ALL the time.
I browse the net and stuff ALL the time.
Most of the time, when I am using my phone it will be outside of the free nights and weekend time frame.
It's the best plan for me, and I can tell people "I have unlimited minutes. How many do you have?"

Re: Verizon's New Data Plan

I agree with kellybrf, but this is a step in the right direction for sure. I stay with Verizon for their rock solid phone/data service. I always have a great signal, so I deal with the added price. It is a trade-off.

Re: New VZW Data plan?

unlimited voice alone with just a regular phone is 100 a month, but with a pda or blackberry with unlimited voice, text and data is 150 a month. that's not bad at all if you wanna avoid any overages. VZW people, do what i would do if i were one of y'all and let the good times roll to your heart's content.

these are both VZW plans i just explained in case you wanna ask. check the site out.

Re: New VZW Data plan?

I just talked to 3 different Verizon reps - the 29.99 plan and promotion code listed here is for the Blackberry devices only. This is not for the smartphones. the only 29.99 plan for smartphones is a 10 mb plan.

Let's see what changes as the day goes on.

EDIT:

Just found this tidbit of information over at MotorolaQ forums:

http://www.everythingq.com/forum/ver...nge-20298.html

Confirmed with CSR - data plan change will take effect on 4-19-08

5GB Soft cap, no tethering, and no push email

for the 44.99 we allready have, tethering will no longer cost $15 extra, 10 GB Soft cap, and the ability for push email.

Hope this helps,
