easily switch to landscape mode on HTC Touch

Does anyone know how to switch to landscape mode on the HTC Touch while in the middle of a application such as internet explorer or when text messaging. I always have to close what I am doing, then go to the today screen, then to the launcher, and then clicking on the rotate screen icon. is there a faster way to switch to landscape mode?

start/settings /buttons ..choose button... choose rotate screen

theres also an app that allows you to assign a motion/gesture for this function.

another app allows to click/hold the X button and then menu has option to rotate. I think its xtask or wtask..uncertain. Seems like any respectable task app would have this function.

wow thanks I've been in the button options a million times and never seen it in there and I was just getting ready to reply back saying there is no rotate screen option. But once I scrolled up, there it was. The most beautiful words I've ever seen in my life "Rotate Screen"!

A little freeware app may be of interest to you.... i.e. RBC9-Landscape 1.0

I tried it out on my Mogul and it works like a charm.

When run, it places an icon in the tray at the bottom of the Today screen (two versions are available Left and Right, only run the one you need). When run the screen switches to landscape mode in the configuration picked i.e. Left or Right. A simple click on the icon at the bottom of the Today screen will rotate back to Landscape without needing to open Settings etc.

most people just map there camera button

any way to do this automaticly when u open text for example maybe a mortscript or somthing
