EVDO network vs. standard 50 kps

Has anyone experienced the difference. I live in a area where EVDO is not available for sprint but is for the verizon network. Anyone who uses the touch or Windows mobile have any input?

Thanx

Phil I am using the new wm6.1 for titan and 3.27 radio.

I'm in non evdo and get 150kbps. In town I get 750Kbps.

I live in a non-EVDO area and get about 78 kbps on average. It sucks, so I don't surf the web much on my phone. When I go to Phoenix, though, I use the web on my phone and tethered to my laptop all the time.

I have the Touch and 1X, and I am not happy with it at all. I was told that in the next few weeks I should be able to get EVDO, The Alltel Rep told me that the Smartphone are not on the EVDO system yet. I did see a signal for few brief moments one time. For now I just make sure the browser doesn't load images. I can however stream radio feeds on the Touch which was the biggest reason for me to get the DataPlan.

Is the RADIO 3.27 something the touch can run?

JAy
