Sending and Receiving SMS with PC

Is there any software that would allow me to send and receive text messages from my phone on my pc? I tried Jeyo Mobile Extender but it's isn't working well. At my job I cannot take camera phones inside so I would like to be able to receive texts on my laptop. Is this possible?

EDIT: Just read your post again, about the camera phone issue. You want to do this while your phone is away from your PC as well? Sorry I don't know of anything for ya

Well I googled "SMS Forward" and there are some services...that will do it....it will forward to an email address of course.

Also "PhoneAlarm Full" has a Call and SMS Forward feature.

Re: Sending and Receiving SMS with PC

Dashwire can definitely do the trick. Texts received are uploaded to the web in about 2-3 seconds. When replying to or composing a message, we'll auto-pull from your contact list (which is on Dashwire as well), you type what you want to, hit send, and the message goes out thru your phone.

All of this requires that you keep Dashwire running in the background when your phone is at home, but by doing so your call log, contacts, photos, videos, and phone settings are automatically uploaded and in sync with your web account as well.
