Reorganize Start Menu?
I've tried a couple different launches/start-menu replacements, but none seem to run properly on my HTC S720 (WM6 Standard). That that I'm all that worried about having a fancy launcher, but I would like to have a slightly less cluttered start menu...
So using the Explore function in ActiveSync, can I just drag folders around in \Windows\Start Menu\, create new ones, drop items into them, etc., like with the regular Windows Start Menu? Are there any limitations to this - subfolders not allowed, etc.? Don't wanna muck up my phone without confirmation first :) |
have you given QuickMenu a try... if not i highly recommend it. do a search and it will come up.
fully configurable cascading menus plus a bunch of other useful features and its free your welcome lol |
I did try QM... it didn't work. :( Unless I missed something, there's NO documentation with it...

I think all of the start menu programs are for WM Pro. The best way to clean up a WM Standard start menu is what what was mentioned in Soundy 1st post. I did this with my Q with no problems afterwards. :)

oh yeah, sorry i am a bit wm6 pro minded, not too familiar with standard compatible apps.

Yeah, doesn't seem to be a whole lot of anything that works on Standard... almost all of the "Must-have free apps" I've tried either don't run at all, or only partly run, or just plain crash the phone.
Wonder if I can upgrade this phone to WM6 Pro? |
