Really stupid bluetooth question.
I have searched for an answer to this, and have come up empty. It's probably because what I'm wanting to do makes zero sense given the cost of bluetooth adapters.
Is there any way possible to use my HTC Apache as a bluetooth reciever for my laptop? The reason I'm asking this is because I have Garmin Mobile 10 and want to use the gps reciever on my laptop, but have no way to connect it. I know GPS Gate has the option to do this, however I have the Garmin 10x reciever that is not compatible with GPS Gate. So what I'm wanting to do is pair my bluetooth GPS reciever to my phone, plug the phone into my computer, and have my computer be able to see the GPS reciever through the phone. Is there any way to do this? |
Why couldn't you just buy a cheap Bluetooth dongle?

Just looking for a way to have less equipment and still achieve the same end goal.

Yeah, but sometimes that $15 USB thing is really the best solution ;)

So I'm guessing there isn't any software out there that will make it work then?
