I am a owner of both i have both right in front of me.How can you say the TP2 is better? i have a custom rom on my touch pro 2 and the evo is still out of the box done nothing to it.

I would love for this to be the case but LAG? please the tp2 is so laggy and evo well is instant.

Unless it is the keyboard which i am glad is gone cause of the extra weight and fat body of the touch pro 2

Well just a few months ago, TCPMP became skinnable, thanks to bimbam69 at xda. And now Unit Zero has collected and provided Codec Pack 6 for this skinnable version, right here at PPC Geeks. Last month, Christian Ghisler provided beta 3 of Total Commander v2.52 for unlocked WinMo phones. And just a few days ago, Conduits finally released the long awaited version 4.2 of Pocket Player. WinMo development is not frozen. These programs are work horses, nothing like the 1000s of non-sense apps for iPhone and Android. I'm hoping WP7 will bring improvements to Office components, such as more good graphing features in Excel, though this will probably have to wait for enterprise OS development. Somebody once said "Good things come to s/he who waits, patience is a virtue."

Re: Upcoming Sprint phones w/ WinMo?

To be frank, I wish WM6 was installed as the only OS on my Evo.

As long as there are sites like ppcgeeks and xda, windows phone will never die.

If Microsoft has it's way, PPCgeeks and XDA will die. The big draw to these sites are hacking, upgrading and unlocking WM/WP phones. If it is locked down that much, where it can't be hacked open, the following to these sites will slow down quite a bit.

I even find myself visiting these sites less. When there was new WM builds every other day, I was here every day, now, no WM builds any more, no hack to put WP7 on every phone, maybe 1-3 times a week. Nothing new, so no reason to visit every day.

Just my thoughts...

Well, the iphone was locked down and was jailbroken, so I'm waiting to see what will happen with WP7.
