Yep, lots of interest as an r&d phone. I'll be all over it.

HTC is probably interested since they'll be able to reuse most of their hardware (ie, this should be a no brainer move - same phone, no MS royalty... what's not to like?)

I've been following this, and I'm definitely intrigued. Not entirely sure it'll fully replace Windows Mobile for me, but as an overall phone OS, I think it has the potential to blow away the iPhone.

You know I'm really hoping that someone will be able to get this lovely piece of os working on our phones. It sounds as if the software for the phones next week. I would hope we could see something in the short months to come.

I believe that since this will be a totally open os based on linux someone from the community will be getting their hands on this and making it work for the mogul. It would seem that most of the hardware in these phones are fairly universal and its just a matter of implimentation. That being said I have no doubt that we will see it on phones shortly after the source is released.

I love my Mogul, but I hate WM6. I'm glad to hear that HTC / Sprint are supporting Android thus far.

I use google's free search engine and google earth every day - see them both as unparalleled successes of software design. I love em.
I'm not thrilled with the ad-supported google-phone model, though. My QVGA screen is cramped enough as it is without crowding it up with useless ads. I'm suffering from ad-overload....
