Neither the iPhone or WM phones are bad devises. Hell, I can make each one do something the other can (in someway). May have to do some tweaking (goes for both) to get it done but it's possible.

What it comes down to is what carrier somebody is on, and picking a device they will be happy with.
true enough, I was looking to switching to T Mobil (if they get the HD2 and sprint doesn't) and ill probably get a cheap unlocked iphone to play around with as well, would be fun to have both.

you should be able to get a WM device on the cheap somehwere I'm sure and just shove your SIM card in it. Depending on when your contract is up, I don't think I'd ever spend the kind of $ people and companies are asking for on a device, but I'll wait to sign a 2 year to get the HD2 then sell my diamond and spend that money on an android or iphone or whatever. I think it's pretty insane to pay like $600 for a "NIB 3GS!!!!" when I could get a used 2G for like $100 or less and jailbreak/unlock it and do the same things...

Re: yet another iphone link...

Not to stir the pot but I have too!!!!

All I can say is I love my iPhone!!!! It always works, I never have to reboot it and the battery lasts all day long. Now, AT&T on the other hand is a different story - I average about 2 dropped calls a day, never had this issue on Sprint or Verizon.

However, put a device like the iPhone on either one of their networks and it too would come to its knees!!!

True.
I was reading somewhere that 3% of the iPhone users take up 40% of the cellular bandwidth on the AT&T network......I am sure I am part of the 3%, I am CONSTANTLY using the thing and network services, like browsing, e-mail messaging and more and more....
