My iPhone 3gs cannot start with a black screen.

I have an iPhone 3gs. And i am upgrading my iPhone 3gs. But it cannot turn on. I have tried to plug my iPhone back into my computer. I hope i can start it by this way. But it is still black. Help with my iPhone. Thanks.

Did you try the answers on the page that you linked to? Because perming a reset, or upgrading iOS while in DFU, should both work for your problem. Let me know and if neither of those ideas helped, I see what else I can come up with for you.

What fw is it on and what are you trying to upgrade to.

Is it off or is it in DFU mode.

That the DFU mode can not be open than it will not work because the during the upgrading system if you do not turn on DFU mode than it may be possible to open your system.

hold the home + power buttons for 10 seconds, then let go of the home button and just hold power button till it restarts.
