Sprint iPhone 4s unlocking???
 

I have been recently having problems with my evo, so I have an iPhone 4s in the mail.. My question is, is it pointless to unlock the sprint 4s for local use, meaning I don't travel out of the U.S. So would I be able to use Verizon towers locally if unlocked? I am also interested in tethering (got tired of paying $30 for something I very rarely use if ever?) I know I would have to jailbreak it, however I have been told that these thing are not available as of yet.
Thanks for the help, and I am still trying to search and find these things out. I have always used android and this wil be literally the first time ever having an iPhone in my hand.

You guys aren't familiar with jail breaking? That's the first thing you want to do to your iPhone when you get it home. It's simple to do. Ask and ye shall receive.

This is a great tutorial with a link to the software required to jailbreak your iphone. Make sure you are on iOS 5.0.1 which is the latest software version available.

If you need any help do not hesitate to ask. Once you jailbreak you never go back. It allows you to customize your iPhone in so many way including using Siri. CURRENTLY THERE IS NO JAILBREAK AVAILABLE FOR THE iPhone 4s. Keep that in mind anyone trying to jailbreak. There is supposed to be a jailbreak released really soon for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.
