With cloud, why get an iphone 4s with anything more than 16gb?

As the title ask, since you're required to use the cloud and it's free, why would you spend more to get anything larger than the 4s with 16gb of storage?

Because Sprint is so slow, and what if you want your family photo album on there, they could be big....in 10-20+ gigabyte sizes....do you really want to stream your iTunes over the data network?...I don't see any reason to NOT get a bigger one that 16...although, for my personal use, I think 64 is overkill.

Sprint 3g is no different the VzN 3g in terms of speed...at least in my experiences i've noticed that.

I don't think putting a family photo album on a smart phone would be....smart. At that rate, even 100gig wouldn't be enough for some.

But I see your point. You want a enough memory so that you aren't constantly going out to the data stream to download from the cloud.

I thought I had read something that the system would be uploading to the cloud anyway as all devices would be able to synch that way. For instance, if you have an iphone, ipad and mac computer, they would all be synched should you say make an entry in your contacts or calendar. Good concept but think about what it'll do to the total internet overhead when you have hundreds of millions of phones with many of them doing this multiple times throughout the day.

Maybe the bigger issue for most of us is coverage. Around here, Verizon is so reliable that you have pretty much forgotten about ever being in a dead zone. Can't say the same with the others.

Re: With cloud, why get an iphone 4s with anything more than 16gb?

So i can be streaming music i can store locally on my phone in the subway where there's no cell service, eh?? Or draining my battery UNNECESSARILY by streaming data for hours when i could just transfer the few movies and T.V shows and music i would have time to watch and listen to on the train/bus ride to work, at lunch and the journey back home.

I don't see the point of streaming stuff i already HAVE that i can carry with me easily everywhere, even places with bad or no cell reception. I'd rather waste my battery and bandwidth on streaming services like Pandora, Spotify and or Tune-in radio or even Netflix.

Btw, ever tried streaming anything when your Sprint phone drops to 1x..not very pleasant.
