Re: iOS 4.01 next week to fix reception issue

No software update can fix the hardware issue of having the antenna where you put your hand. Steve Jobs has said himself that you can wither hold it differently or get a case.

You can either accept it, go back to the 3GS, or switch to another device. I wouldn't cry about the media exposing an obvious flaw in the device. The iphone complex is really annoying.

Some users have reported that holding the 3gs in similar positions result in the same problems

Re: iOS 4.01 next week to fix reception issue

I'm worried that their "fix" will be just to show strong signal even when there isn't. I just don't see how software can be a factor.

I got that ifrogz case i linked in the other thread, and I love it.

In this case it kinda can be a problem. I remember reading something saying that the phone will switch between antennas so that you can get the best phone signal possible. If they have code wrong somewhere in there than maybe thats what could have caused it.. Either way i dont have this issue so im good lol.
