Question iPhone 2G 3.1.2 Unlocking process?

Using blackra1n jailbroke it no problem. Tried using bootneuter to unlock....everything goes through fine...but says no SIM when Digicel Jamaica sim is inserted. With bootneuter installed tried ultrasn0w and Im not sure which worked, but it worked for a few mins....then bam back to no SIM. WTF?!?! Is it just me? Also may try updating to 3.1.3 just haven't had the time.

Don't update to 3.1.3. If you do you won't be able to unlock

Re: iPhone 2G 3.1.2 Unlocking process?

I would suggest finding a custom ipsw file and restore your device using that...I'm pretty sure that I seen one something like:

Activated 3.1.2 4.28.01 ........or something like that, if I find it I will post it for ya.

I just got around to checking back and what do ya know starting recognizing SIM and now back to no SIM. Very strange imho. May try looking for the custom ipsw as stated by ducylowycz. If I do I will report back and let everyone know.

if you use blackra1n, open the blackra1n app then run blacksnow and it unlocks it no problem. I just did that to my 3.1.2 3G and it's been working on tmobile 100% no problems.
