Connecting Iphone to a portable stereo through usb !!
 

Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to connect my Iphone 3GS to portable stereo CD player with just the USB port?
I have tried by just plugging it in to the usb port and turning my Ipod on - but no music comes out of the speakers.
Although I can see it is playing the song on the Iphone.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible?

First of all, Is the USB port on ur Stereo is for audio input? If ever Ur USB post is capable of Audio, will need something like this

But I highly doubt that Ur stereo's USB is capable of Audio unless You can plug a USB drive that has MP3's on it. If that is the case, The USB is acting like a portable storage. And Ur iPhone will not act like a Storage.

If the USB port on the speakers will accept audio input all you need is the iphones charging cable. I do this in my car radio. There should be a setting in the speaker system to change the input to usb.
