Using iphone as a modem to surf the internet...

Is it possible to use the iphone as a modem to be able to surf the internet when connected to a laptop or other computer via usb or bluetooth ?
I have a Verizon HTC Titan that I use for this all the time...

The method I used and posted gave me no problems at all. And my wife uses it on her iPhone. It's a pretty fast connection, not quite as fast as a cable modem but seems pretty close and ALOT faster than old school dial-up (does anybody use dial-up now-a-days)?

If they do, they have never said anything to me, but I never really used it for heavy browsing, just at the times when our cable modem had gone out. But my wife used it while she was out of town for 8 weeks cause it was actually ALOT faster than the net connection in the room and they never said anything then either.

Oh boy CM, when they catch you.....

Anyhoo, I'd love to have that as I did when I had my Mogul then TP. But tehering on iPhone probably burns the battery more, and I can't afford replacing my iPhone 1 year in. But as you said CM, it's great in a pinch.
