SLOW and WEIRD when charging
This is my second day with the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4g on Sprint network, and I'm having a really weird issue when the phone charges.
When it's charging, the phone is extremely slow, and only responds to about 1/10 of my interaction with the screen. Sometimes when I press one thing on the screen, it opens another and does something completely different as if it had a mind of its own. When texting, I may press one letter, and then it thinks I pressed like 5 other letters. However, when I unplug the phone, it is extremely fast and works perfectly. I hope that this is clear, as it's somewhat difficult to explain. There is something going on WHILE IT IS CHARGING to make it buggy/laggy/slow/weird. I don't know if it's some sort of power saving setting or what. Please help! Thanks. |

Seems like this only happens to me when charging at a low battery level. Once the battery level rises a bit, the phone acts normal. |
Re: SLOW and WEIRD when charging
You know I had similar symptoms whit the original Epic when using the twilight kernel.
your using stock kernel or custom kernel? also best place for help with epic touch 4g is here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/samsung-epic-touch-4g/ |
Re: SLOW and WEIRD when charging
Are you using the charger that came with the phone or a 3rd party charger? A lot of times 3rd party chargers will charge the phone at a different voltage and mess up the screen responsiveness.

Just read on another forum that you should turn the screen off before plugging in the charger to prevent this unresponsiveness. |
Re: SLOW and WEIRD when charging
Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what % my battery is at. Also, I'm using the charger that came with the phone, and also it doesn't seem to matter whether or not the screen is on or off when I plug the charger in. I'm actually charging the phone right now, and the phone is at ~40% battery and it is still acting completely crazy. I go to type a text and I hit "I" and then it like decides to hit 5 other letters and then SWYPE starts going nuts etc. etc. etc. It doesn't matter also if I'm texting, or doing something else on the phone. It goes crazy.
