gmail no longer notifies me about emails
 

for the past few weeks, i haven't been getting all my emails pushed to my phone. i have the gmail app, and up until like last week, i have been getting every email.

now? nothing. maybe like one or two notifications, but i just checked my gmail account and i had 12 emails, none of which my phone notified me about. anyone know whats up? i was reading something about some stupid priority mail box or some shit, but i have no idea how to turn it off. i just want my emails, all of them, to notify me.

I heard this same problem from a co-worker after his Inspire updated to Gingerbread a while back!

hmm maybe uninstall/reinstall the app or logout and then back in if possible

figured it out... under the master sync settings in the settings menu, gmail is set to not sync, so no matter what your settings are in the program, it doesn't work. checked that and it works fine. really weird. i've never been in that menu before so i know i didn't uncheck that.
