Free or Discounted Android Promo
 

I finally decided to take the plunge and get a smartphone this week,
but I didn't really want to spend a lot of money for it. I looked
around and I happen to find an offer being run by American Eagle and
JCPenny for a free Android - unfortunately, it is now over. BUT
happily I found that the same offer is being run by www.urThots.com.:razz:
All you have to do is sign up for a free account (apparently the site
is trying to attract new members). You don't have to give them a blood
sample or your first born either - just your first name and email
address. After putting in my account info into their secure portal,
the system found my account and said I was eligible for an upgrade -
so instead of paying the $150 to Verizon for the "discounted upgrade"
- I got a Droid X for FREE! I was careful to read the fine print and
basically it is the same terms as buying it direct from Verizon itself
- if you cancel your contract you have to pay them the cost of the
phone and the contract is renewed for another 2 years, of course. So I
was pretty darn happy when I got it two days later - I just had to
share the news. The bad part is that there are no tablets included on
the offer, that would have been sweet. Anyhow, that is my "deal of the
day". I have Verizon, but it works for T-Mobile, Sprint and Nextel
customers too.
