Just got Optimus S and need help please
I am turning on my Optimus S to a screen that says make emergency call or select ID.

I select ID and get error network not found.

using phone in same place where TP2 worked fine.

going outside does not correct network problem.

also chinese syllables are on screen as if someone chose chinese as their language.

I already hate this phone as I can't get into system settings or anything.

missing winMO already.

can you help? thanks

Currently having the same issue with a new LG Optimus S. Activated the phone and I get texting/voice/phone calls. Wifi works. Though data doesn't work at all. Also no 3G section in settings and no 3G indicator of signal. This is really annoying me I have tried resetting the phone to factory a few times and running out of options.

Have you tried updating prl/profile?

I just activated my phone today... had to give up old contract and pay more. But that is life. Anyway it activated fine and am surfing away. Call customer care.

This is pretty good for a $42 eBay bargain.

Maybe this is a good newbee spot, but what music player is popular. I just figured out how to synch my podcasts via MediaMonkey to the SD card.
