[HOW TO] Remove an email account from the LG Optimus S

You can remove an account to delete all information associated with it from your device, including email, contacts, settings, etc.

Some accounts cannot be removed, such the first Google Account you set up on the device. That account can only be removed by resetting your device entirely.

To remove an account:

1. Press > > Settings > Accounts & sync.

2. Tap the account you want to delete.

3. Tap Remove account.

4. Tap Remove account again to confirm that you want to remove the account

i think it would be a good idea to add that if you are on a custom recovery, doing a reset via settings>privacy>factory data reset (the only way to remove the first google acct added to the device) will result in a brick.

with a custom recovery, you should only reset/wipe the phone via the recovery.

but that if you have a stock recovery, settings>privacy>factory data reset will not brick the device.
