Would you recommend Optimus ?

My wife's about to get her first Smartphone in February. I want to get her a robust, inexpensive phone with good battery life, good reliability, and workable straight out of the box. Optimus looks nice on specs, what is your real-life experience ? Are there any known issues that plague this particular model ?

Yes I would recommend. Very nice phone. If you read reviews between users and companies you'll hear a lot of good things.

Re: Would you recommend Optimus ?

My girlfriend just got one for free recently and quite likes it. I've played with it a bit and it's good. It's no substitute for my EVO I've become used to, but at least she's not forced into that $10 BS fee with the Optimus S.

Re: Would you recommend Optimus ?

I got my GF and step daughter one, then after playing with it had no choice but to get it myself. I'm very happy with it, rooted, and overclocked.

Re: Would you recommend Optimus ?

One review on the net says its better than Htc Evo, Htc Imagio and Htc Hero. Its built quality is good too. High end hardware for bargain price.

Re: Would you recommend Optimus ?

I would suggest getting it and BEFORE February..if you don't want to pay $10 a month extra for it..you can have sprint move up your upgrade date by a few weeks...sometimes even months..

If you going to go into February...might as well get an Epic or an EVO Shift already...

Re: Would you recommend Optimus ?

My girlfriend loves it as well. I would say an underrated phone but I rarely see any complaints about it.
