Newbe with a question

Morning all,

I was researching the Epic 4G and found mention in the reviews of something called "One Click Root & Recovery". What is that and how does it affect the phone? Is it a mod to the OS and are there other mods that I need to learn about? This will be my first smart phone, and I want to learn all I can before I commit.

since you are on vzw, is the epic something you think you may get into as a switch to sprint is required, or are you just looking into android alone and might just go with a droid?

I have no problem switching, and this phone looks interesting and I want to learn all I can about it aside from what is advertised.

well op you will love the epic, i came from wm and had a evo first then got epic also and gave evo to my girl. "one click root/recovery" is used to root or in wm terms unlock the phone so you can flash custom roms, this wiki thread should answer all your questions.
