Just got an EVO, a few questions....

1) How do i set which folder the different Music players look for files ?

I've downloaded a few and they don't give you an option where to look.

2) How to i make use of the lock screen so it shows me The cal agenda ?

3) Wasn't there something about Froyo being able to backup your apps ? Where should i look ?


BTW i waited for it a week and it has the screen that fades when you switch brightness.

Where did you get the EVO from, a Sprint Store? My brother is looking for one but nowhere to be found.

1) I believe media players automatically look for all music on your SD card.
2) Not sure about this one.
3) I think you mean that with FroYo came the ability to save the apps onto your SD card. You can get an app from the market called SDMove which would be useful for this. If you want to backup apps, there are several apps in the market like MyBackupPro or Titanium Backup.

your bro should try bestbuy. if they dont have any available in store, get on the waiting list. i got lucky and called right when they showed some in stock online and they ordered for me and it's coming tomorrow! bestbuy is really your best bet i'd say since it dont require mail in rebate

Check out MortPlayer. It's in the Market, free, and you can choose which folders you want to play music from. It also has a widget, as a sperate download, which is also free.

At defcon, one of the presenters who talked about android said that there is an option in Froyo where you can have market remember what programs you install. Its something that can be checked on or off. I haven't looked at it since I gave my evo to my gf and only have a hero and tp2. But if he said it, I believe it.

Couldn't find it. Plus i couldn't find where to do the update all option.
