Hero vs Moment

Ok people I need the community to help me decide on my wife's birthday present. Hero or the Moment?

She uses her phone to check email, text alot, and talk.

I have narrowed it down to needing a keyboard or the on screen keyboard. Any thoughts?

Also, an alternative to word docs and excel files is available I assume?

there is a thread already titled hero v moment and the jury is out. both are well liked and regardless of ur decision u have 30 days to exchange it. if u get the hero the first thing u should have her do is calibrate the keyboard or else she will probably hate the onscreen kb. find this under menu settings text. if she has fake nails like me then a hardware kb is very helpful. also remember touch is heat sensitive not pressure sensitive so no stylus or nails can be used on the screen.

Thanks for your input. I am going to Best Buy after work, probably will get the Moment.

ur welcome...hope it helped. btw dont kno if she is interested in flashing or rooting but moment is harder samsung made it pretty challenging.

as for office docs and stuff, you can get DocumentsToGo which is a paid app but does allow for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and PDF. Sure they are dumbed down in comparison to the Office Mobile on WiMo but it sure as hell is better than nothing imho. Buy it, good stuff!

What? The screen is capacitive. You are correct that nails and stylus won't work, but it has nothing to do with heat.
