How do you create EXT Packages? I tried using Kitchen Converter, but the programs are not launching when clicked.
Yes the OEM portion of the rom and the payload files is from the alltel Treo Pro.

No, the reg edits and or hacks are not in the kitchen. You will each need to add the ones you want.

Use Cab2OEM.exe and EXT_Packages_Rebuilder.exe to create your own ext packages. The files are located in the tools menu. Just drag the cab file over cab2oem and it will output an oem package. Then drag the oem package over EXT_Packages_Rebuilder and it will convert the oem into an ext package.

Look here for the pieces need to cook 6.5.1 (COM3 and COM4) builds.

It's only like 524 pages of information on rom building and the latest 6.5 builds.

Thanks! Too bad none of the ext packages I made from the Sprint EXT ROM and the hack cabs worked.

Re: CDMA Treo Pro Kitchen WM6.5 build 21857

Hey, NightRaven, little question..
(or anyone else who knows).
So I flashed one of the 6.5 roms from your kitchen, and it is absolutely awesome, except for two things which COULD be easy fixing.
1) The battery meter is not updating, it only takes the initial value at boot.
2) The phone doesn't turn off touchscreen when I'm in a call, and pressing the power button or holding the red button doesn't turn the screen off.

Where would I find what I need to activate these features?

Re: CDMA Treo Pro Kitchen WM6.5 build 21857

Is there an easy way to add a cab file to install during the OEM customization and still keep the Palm stuff?

If not, does anyone know of a version of mortscript that can be built in?

Re: CDMA Treo Pro Kitchen WM6.5 build 21857

How to remove the infinite wait cursor from the today screen.
  1. Covert the shellres.128.dll from a module to a file using recmod.exe.
  2. Open the resulting shellres.128.dll file using a resource editor.
  3. Delete all of the images for the wait cursor.
  4. Save the changes to shellres.128.dll.
  5. Covert the shellres.128.dll file back into a module using reversemode.exe.
  6. Cook and flash a new rom with the changes.
This will remove the wait cursor all together, so you will no longer see it anywhere!

I cooked a ROM from your kitchen with the edited shelres.128.dll and so far it is working great. I also used the same technique for the Ebag RealVGA resource pack.

Thanks for sharing!

Nightraven -
I tried loading one of your ROM's in the kitchen (21857), but the outputted ROM had some issues.
Is there any way to get just a basic ROM?
Thanks!
