Success With WMDC install to Win 8.1 64-Bit
 

FWIW, 'cause this section of the forum is kind of deserted, I have successfully installed WMDC for Win Vista 64-Bit to a Win 8.1 Pro laptop and successfully connected a Sprint Touch Pro 2 to the app as well as completed the phone-to-app setup routine. It was not easy, yet was not difficult at the same time.
I have not tested file\photo\etc. transfers yet. My goal is to install HardSPL using this setup, & hopefully backup and transfer data to and from the phone WMDC style.


Since I've lurked so much around here I'd obviously like a chance to give back. If anyone would like to know how I got this far just reply to this thread. I will be busy for the next several days with Dr's appointments but will respond as soon as I can.
