Unfortunately, the Evo3d eats up battery something fierce. Even worse than the Evo did. Just an FYI...

Not a problem. Glad that did the trick.

Quick question:
I'm on the latest Neodium ROM. The Manila "Programs" tab takes four seconds to load - every time I switch to it. The other tabs are quite fast.

Does anyone know a tweak/hack to speed it up? Maybe something that keeps that tab cached in memory? I'd like to use it more, but I dread opening it.

Thanks!

If you're not OCing, try wimospeed. You should be able to OC to 710 or higher safely... I can get to 748 with mine, but every device is different. Try to go as high as you can one step at a time, then when it freezes, back off one or two and follow instructions in 1st post to have it auto boot from link in sd card.

Re: [ROM] Plutonium,Neodium,Titanium [21916,28244]

Thanks! OC'ng took one second off of the program tab's load time. Still 3 seconds though.

Nobody's heard of a tweak to keep the program tab cached in memory?

Question: Twitter Tab works for me on Energy Rom and Sharkie Rom, but not on Vin's Roms... I dont understand why...

Followup... I understand the issue of the twitter tab not working and all the registry issues, however, my issue is that I have flashed both Sharkie and Energy Roms without changing the registry and have even done the Task29 thing and everytime, Twitter works on those two. But it never works on Vin's.... does anyone have any ideas?

Is there a version of Plutonium ROM without the glass effect? Can it be modified to remove the glass effect?

Update profile and PRL and you should be good to go as long as you did provision the phone for your carrier.

Help please. I keep coming back to Vin's ROMs and I am now running Plutonium 6.5.3 (28244, I believe it's Dec 29 version). Everything is fine, except the battery status is off. It would show the battery life at 40% after I charged it for an hour, then I'd soft reset and it now shows 90%. Does anybody know what could be causing this and how do I fix it. Never had this issue with any other Vin's ROM.

Good to see you stop by. Just thought I'd let you know your megaupload links are down. My mirrors are still up and getting downloads, so it still lives :toothy7:

I normally remove the preloaded cities from the weather tab. however, has anyone noticed that when you add a new cities, it fails to update?

Re: [ROM] Plutonium,Neodium,Titanium [21916,28244]

I just installed the Nacked Plutonium ROM. I am on Sprint. Is the Provisioning that is built into the ROM, the fixed version? So do I run the provisioning that is built into the ROM first and then install the InitProv and SprintFixedProv cab? Also, do I need to install both of them if I never ran provisioning, or only the SprintFixedProv cab?

ToddSmith 04-30-2012 04:04 AM

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Well, it finally happened. Dropped my old reliable TP2 one time too many, and it died. Went to Sprint store and found out my options were either pay the $100 insurance deductible and get a refurbished TP2, or spend $150 and get a new phone and a $50 mail-in rebate, so now I've got a new Motorola Photon 4G. After a week, it seems like a great phone, I just have to be careful not to leave 4G or WiFi on when it's in standby, as they really suck the life out of the battery.

Just thought I'd stop by here and say goodbye, I've loved Vin's ROMs and the TP2, but it was time to get something a little more inline with current technology. Take care, and see you around in the Android forums.

Hey, what's up? Seems like Darren is pretty much a ACS guy now. I miss this thread and the hockey talk and the bets with losing avatar changes. Speaking of hockey, I was having fun for a long time this year after the coaching change, up until this last series started... now it's starting to look bleak for us

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, same here...this thread was a heavy hitter & the hockey talk, bets, etc. were good times. Yeah, I was hurtin' after the 3OT loss, especially when Alex missed that point blank shot...but it's not over till the fat lady sings, eh? 2-0's nothing man...tonight's the turn around! :occasion5:

Edit: LMAO...decided to flash 12.29Pluto... :)

Edit2: Ha! Since I broke my Epic 3g, I'm back to my TP2 for now at least. Flashed 1.31Neo and CHT 1.8.5, and am yet again impressed! Sure the Android scene is neat, but seriously, it can't touch the battery life of Neo. I went to bed with 60%, woke up with 60%. Bond...

Here's a Titanium ROM that was released 3.3.11, which is the latest Pluto that I've got.

And here's the 12.29.10 Pluto.
