Re: <> 11-2-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <>

I have been using the beta manilla 2011 rom and as always it runs very well. The only problem i am having is i cannot install the sprint carrier provisioning cab. I have manually created an internet connection, but i cannot provision my phone at all. Hopefully dibbs could finish this rom up because it could use a little polishing up.

Re: <> 11-2-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <>

Quick question: coming from MightyRom, I installed the Titanium-only version and tried to get all of my software installed today. Many of my programs fail, however, because the registration numbers are tied to the "User name" entry that most ROMS have in /Settings/Personal.

Can anyone explain why this setting was removed from the ROM and how I can change my WinMo username so that I can actually install/run software?

Thanks!

Go into Settings>Device Information>Phone Identity.

Put in the username you want BEFORE you activesync, otherwise you'll have to delete that profile from your desktop computer.

Re: <> 11-2-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <>

Sorry for the ignorance, this is my first time trying a custom ROM on this device. I was running Sprint Stock 6.5 for 8 months, on Titanium for the last 3 mos. Finally decided to try a custom ROM, flashed Migthy's last weekend, tried Sense again but it wasn't much better than on stock, so I figured I might as well go with a "dedicated" Titanium ROM. Somebody recommended Medium Hill and I flashed it last night. I like it very much so far, but have a couple questions:

- I dl'd and flashed the first Titanium ROM in the title post. (10-02-10). Just looking down the page, I see there's also a 10-20-10 Titanium ROM. What is the difference between the two ? Would the 2nd one give any advantages over the first one ?

- On stock Sprint ROM, replacing system default lock screen with S2U2 would free up a couple MB of RAM (I think the default lock was about 5 mb). Does this apply also to this ROM ?

Thanks !

To add... the sound is kind of muted compared to the stock ROM... any way to fix this ?

Re: <> 11-2-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <>

Hello, first time I've ever tried a custom ROM and I'm loving your FSA (sprint) one. One question though - the MHUC program wants to boot up at every single boot! reboot/battery pull/shutdown-turn-on ... every single time it wants to load up and I have to close it so I can get to the home screen. How can I prevent it from popping up everytime? Thanks!

Edit: Double-tapping the back key on the phone comes up with a box "ArkSwitch.exe cannot be opened. either it is not signed w/ a trusted certificate or it cannot be found etc etc". This is from stock 6.1 > FSA Medium Hill, latest version from the first post here.

Re: <> 11-2-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <>

Well, after a few months with the RC and then trying a half dozen other ROMs, I'm back on Dibbs's 10-2 Verizon Sense ROM. To me, it's the cleanest, fastest ROM out there.

Dibbs - I know you've moved on but thanks again for a great ROM!

John

btw - If anyone has any other ROMs they've found to be similar only better, please let me know.
