how can i get ICS to show DATA instead of Sprint on 0.96 rom? the htc router doesnt seem to be working and i think that might be the culprit.

sorry if this has been asked before, but i swear i searched!

You need to edit the registry:

HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings --> change the string value of ForceCellConnection to "DATA" (no quotes).

Ayup....I have a .cab made with all my personal registry tweaks....this is definitely one of them!

Make sure you soft reset afterward.....

dang, nice! im going to try this on the latest dcd rom. how did you make a cab with your own reg hacks if you dont mind me asking?

EDIT: the registry edit didnt work. i added it and the connection type simply disappeared in Internet Sharing so all i have is PC Connection (USB/Bluetooth) option. HTC router still only sees Sprint =(
